Philanthropy

Over the fall semester, the undergraduate chapter participated in multiple sorority philanthropies such as Delta Gamma’s Anchor Splash, Tri Delt’s Triple Play, and Alpha Delta Pi’s Lion’s Share King of the Court. Our most notable philanthropy event was raising funds for and winning Alpha Delta Pi’s basketball tournament.

Phenomenal Phis

Regarding some of the many individual accomplishments of active Florida Alpha brothers, our Spring 2018/Fall 2018 President, Michael Chiste, was just inducted into Florida Blue Key this semester. Also, Will Norris and Ian Green were inducted into the University of Florida Hall of Fame for all of their hard work and accomplishments here at UF. While the fall semester is coming to a close, Ian Green is also finishing off his first semester as Student Body President and will be continuing his term in the spring. Also for this coming spring, Brother Chase Ammirati will be taking the semester off of school to work a co-op at GE Appliances in Louisville, Kentucky. As Fall Preceptor, Jake Maya led a successful pledge class and initiated 34 new brothers into the Florida Alpha chapter of Phi Delta Theta. We are extremely proud of our chapter as a whole, along with the accomplishments of individual brothers.

Elections

As the year comes to an end, we had our elections, and the newest president of Phi Delta Theta Florida Alpha is Eli Lemkin. Eli is a former three-term external vice president and will do a great job as the new president. Former President, Michael Chiste is now the member at large. Noah Roberson is the new External Vice President after successfully initiating two pledge classes as rush chair. Anthony Scott Perada was voted in as the new Internal Vice President. Anthony was the past Fall secretary. Our new Rush Chair is Esteban Alvarez, and he will ensure that Florida Alpha continues to recruit the best men on campus. Sam Boykin was elected to be the new house manager, replacing Zack Kitchen who has become the new risk manager. The new secretary for the Spring semester is Iñaki Usandizaga. Jacob Eisenberg is the new social chair for the Spring Semester. Austin Jenkins, former vice president, is back on the executive board as treasurer. Lastly, Wolf Majette was selected as the preceptor for Spring 2019.
